Recorded at The Grand Central Hotel, 12th December 2015.

Describing herself as a “Z-grade Madonna from Venus, Texas, controlling a microcosm of Yamahas and synthetic electro-machines”, Scraps is the moniker for local Brisbane artist Laura Hill. Starting in 2006 with little more than a small keyboard she got given as a gift, Scraps has released numerous recordings in various formats and has lit dance floors not only in Australia, but around the world as well. She also crafts her own merch from t-shirts to tote bags

Recorded at The Brightside, Brisbane,  4th April 2014.

You might know Ela Stiles from some of the bands she’s played in over the last couple of years: Songs and Bushwalking. It was the band Songs which she began with Max Doyle that saw her focus shift from modelling to music. She’s been a member of Songs since 2007 and Bushwalking started as a psych three-piece that she originally formed to work on her solo songs. It turned out to be more of a band than a solo project and they released their second LP ‘No Enter’ in September 2013. In 2014, Ela released her debut self-titled solo record on Bedroom Suck Records which which displays her discovering her vocal talents through experimentation.

Recorded at The Bearded Lady, Brisbane, December 26th 2015.

Horris have been kicking around the local scene since 2011, demonstrating their high energy performances that involve a heavy element of crowd participation. Their debut EP ‘You Can’t Do Anything And Life Will Disappoint You’ is a 7 song compilation of their ability to combine chaotic drums, buzzing guitars, and scratchy vocals to make a high energy record that is sure to get the heart beating.

Recorded at Trainspotters, Brisbane, December 12th 2015.

Starting off in 2006, this psychedelic witchgaze group have released a full length album through record label bon voyage, and accumulated a mountain of support slots for international bands like Best Coast, Earthless, and Vivian Girls. Their album ‘Hunters Moon’ was recorded over three hours in the now defunct Tribal Theatre, and their sound is a perfect balance of 60’s psychedelica and jangly 80’s pop.
